ClearCommerce Engine
The ClearCommerce® Engine payment component features:
- Payment processing through major U.S. and European processors
- Real-time authorization
- Batch and bulk settlement
- Bank card, E-check and Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments
- E-commerce, mail order/telephone order and retail point-of-sale order transactions
The ClearCommerce Engine provides up to 15 different bank card transaction types, including sale, pre-authorization, post-authorization, credit and settlement, as supported by the various external payment processors. The payment transaction mechanisms provide you with the most flexibility to choose how you process your transactions.
Sophisticated e-commerce applications can exceed the capabilities provided by a single payment processing service. The ClearCommerce Engine integrates multiple processing services to provide a unified payment gateway. It also provides split routing capabilities to allow payment transaction routing for different payment types (card types) and transaction types (authorization vs. settlement).
With a single ClearCommerce Engine, you can:
- Host thousands of merchants using differing processing services
- Seamlessly route transactions to different payment processors to take advantage of differing currency or card type support
- Obtain better interchange rates by routing transactions directly to the originating card organization
- Receive "remote authorizations" from other processing services if your preferred processing service doesn't provide real-time authorization
