Network Access

EFD' Network Access as a stand-alone solution, or as a value-added component of ATM driving and card services, provides direct links to ten national and nine regional networks. Our network services solution enables cost reduction, and often, more reliable transaction processing. Because of our uniquely neutral position in the market, our solution is one of the most robust and flexible offerings in the industry.

Through one gateway relationship with us, you have access to numerous regional and national networks. This single pipeline eliminates the need to develop and support multiple processor formats, thereby reducing your cost and risk. All connections to national and regional networks are provided via a direct connection from our New Berlin, Wisconsin Processing Center. No third party processors are used.

Regional and National Network Connections

We accept responsibility for maintaining code implementations that comply with network mandates, as well as national regulatory issues, allowing you to maintain a single link into our processing center. Any additions or changes that are required by the card associations are monitored by our National Network Compliance staff. Development efforts are coordinated and implemented by these individuals. We also perform administrative activity such as paperwork processing and periodic network reporting. Implementation coordination with each regional and national network associated with your network's connectivity is handled by us as a part of implementation and on-going customer service.

System Monitoring - Alert Center

Our windows-based monitoring system, Alert Center, provides problem recognition, diagnosis, restoration and trend analysis to offer one of the most comprehensive solutions available today to provide critical reporting of the status of hardware, software and system-wide events. The Alert Center is more than a reporting or monitoring tool - our operators also use it to control network operations and resolve problems. Alert Center sorts through the myriad of system messages and displays only potential problem messages and warnings to the operator. This limits the number of messages that require action and decreases the possibility of problems being overlooked.

Statistics Monitor

Statistics Monitor is a proactive approach to network monitoring. Various thresholds trigger exception messages that result in immediate investigation and problem resolution. Statistics Monitor also allows us to monitor the activity levels of devices. This option helps determine low-volume activity during weekdays, weekends or after hours. ATMs are monitored for pre-defined performance thresholds and will send automatic notification to our operations personnel if an undesirable threshold is achieved.

In addition, the Statistics Monitor system is used to monitor the "health" of a network. Problems are frequently disguised as routine day-to-day events. Statistics Monitor provides the ability to alert operators of potential problem situations before they become real problems.
