Floating Holidays

Regular, full-time associates are granted three paid days off each year (called floater days). At the beginning of each year, these days will either be scheduled company-wide, or left open for the associates to schedule individually with the approval of their managers.

Sick Leave

Five days of paid sick leave are granted to full and part-time associates every year. These days may be used as a part of the provincially regulated "Emergency Leave," which provides for ten unpaid days per year for reasons defined as "emergencies" within the legislation.

EFD Employee Stock Purchase Plan

Effective the first of the calendar quarter following the date of hire, this benefit allows employees to purchase EFD stock through payroll deductions at 15 percent less than the lower stock price on the first or on the last day of the purchase period.

EFD offers an Employee Assistance Program through Warren Shepell. This program is open to all associates and their dependents through a 24-hour confidential hotline, and covers a wide-range of services including, but not limited to, crisis intervention, legal/financial advice, family resource research and general healthcare advice.

The above benefits are available to Canadian-based employees only. Benefits for employees based outside Canada are different.
