At EFD, we offer a full range of benefits designed to meet our employees' needs. Coverage is available for the employee and dependents, including domestic partners, under most benefit plans. The following is a summary of the benefits offered to full-time and part-time employees (if applicable).
Effective the first of the month following date of hire, EFD offers four preferred provider organization options. An HMO plan is available in Minnesota. Coverage is available for the employee and qualified dependents.
Effective the first of the month following date of hire, dental coverage is offered through Delta Dental. Coverage is available for the employee and qualified dependents.
Effective the first of the month following date of hire, this coverage is provided by EFD at no cost to the employee. The benefit is one times (1x) the annual base salary rounded to the next higher $1,000, up to a $500,000 maximum. Additional life insurance may be purchased by employees.
Effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment, STD coverage is offered to full-time employees.
Effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment, LTD coverage is offered to full-time employees.
Effective the first of the month following date of hire, this benefit is a voluntary plan offered to the employee and eligible dependents. Through the plan, employees and dependents have access to a network of eye doctors and optical retailers for a variety of benefits.
Effective the first of the month following date of hire, EAP coverage is provided by EFD at no cost to the employee.
Effective the date of hire, this benefit provides a 100 percent match on employee contributions of the first five percent of eligible wages and may provide an annual profit sharing contribution (depending on company performance).
Effective the first of the calendar quarter following the date of hire, this benefit allows employees to purchase EFD stock through payroll deductions at 15 percent less than the lower stock price on the first or on the last day of the purchase period.
Effective the date of hire, the PTO program provides paid time off to be used for periods of short-term personal illness, vacation or other uncompensated absence from work. PTO is credited to employees based on years of service.
Effective the date of hire, EFD observes ten holidays each year. These include six fixed holidays and four personal holidays.
Effective the first of the month following date of hire, EFD offers a reimbursement account program that allows the employee to put aside money before taxes to pay for the medical, dental, vision and child care expenses that are not covered by the underlying insurance.
Effective the first of the month following date of hire, the tuition reimbursement program reimburses employees for eligible expenses incurred while attending approved business-related courses.
Effective the date of hire, employees are eligible to purchase MetLife auto, home and other personal property and liability insurance. Premiums are paid through payroll deductions.
